Ich habe dieses Buch verschlungen. Es erzählt zwar größtenteils einfach nur von Personen, die es einfach gewagt haben und Erfolg hatten (und wir alle wissen, so läuft es nicht immer ab), aber der Auto gibt dabei viele wertvolle Tipps (die für manche vielleicht auch zu Basic erscheinen) und hält so die Motivation weit oben. Es sind auf jeden Fall einige inspirierende Geschichte dabei und ich empfehle es gerne weiter.
Enthält einige nette Startup Stories aber ansonsten wenig neues. Die typischen Dinge wie "Follow your passion" werden angesorochen aber auch schnell wieder fallen gelassen. Generell recht enttäuschend, wenig inspirierend und langweilig. Millionaire Fastlane war da um einiges besser.
This book is inspiring for everyone interested in starting on their own business. I like that it has a different perspective than most literature on startups: The book focuses on small businesses that everyone can build - instead of looking at VC backed ventures as most books and blogs do. The book uses a lot of cases to get it's message across and there is a lot to learn - even for people who want to build a VC backed startup and scale it!
Das Buch gibt viele Tipps wie man ein Business eröffnet und inspiriert dabei mit Beispielen von Menschen, die es von ganz unten und mit wenigen Mitteln geschafft haben sich etwas Eigenes aufzubauen. Ich persönlich lese das Buch auch ein zweites Mal und mache mir wertvolle Notizen. Wer darüber nachdenkt sich selbständig zu machen, dem kann ich dieses Buch wärmstens empfehlen.
The book tells stories about various people starting their businesses from nothing. But the stories are too vague and doesn't tell you the exact details. The book is good for gaining inspiration but the title is a bit misleading and there isn't a single story in the book which tells us about a $100 start-up.
Zuerst dachte ich, das Buch wäre wieder so ein amerikanisches - yes, we can do - Buch. Und ja, teilweise ist es auch so. Dadurch aber, dass der Autor nicht über sich, sondern über viele andere Gründer redet, macht das Buch recht interessant und lesenswert.Wie bei vielen anderen auch, entsteht die Gründung aus der Not heraus. Man hat gerade seinen Job verloren, aus privaten Gründen hat man den Heimatort und den Job verlassen - und, man sucht nach Möglichkeiten.Mir hat es sehr geholfen, einfach mal wieder über den Tellerrand zu schauen - den Horizont weiten für neue Möglichkeiten, die fernab liegen von der eigentlichen Ausbildung, mehr hin zu dem, was ich wirklich will und was mir wichtig ist.Kurzum - ich kann das Buch als Inspirationshilfe und Mutmacher gut empfehlen!
Vielleicht hört sich der Titel auch einfach nur zu gut an, um wahr zu sein. Der Autor schildert Beispiel um Beispiel von Mini-Start-ups, die es (irgendwie) geschafft haben, erfolgreich zu werden. Mich sprach das Buch nicht wirklich an. Als Inspirationsquelle würde ich eher das Buch Start something that matters (Tom's Shoes) von Blake Mykoskie empfehlen.

You will find out that you won't need a whole lot of money to become an successful entrepreneur. On the contrary, it seems that especially those who started out almost broke got successful at the end. Many real life examples that will encourage you to get going. And a fun read, too.
